Comparatively little has been written about Welsh music during the Georgian period, but it has become clear during research to plan this year s programming for the Gregynog Music Festival that several significant north Wales composers worked at Vauxhall and Ranelagh, London s great Georgian Pleasure rehau Gardens. John Parry (Parri rehau Ddall, 1710-1782), the Celebrated Blind Harper of Ruabon played at Ranelagh s famous Rotunda in 1746. Later, John Parry (Bardd Alaw, 1776-1851), a Denbigh-born musician and entrepreneur, was associated with the Vauxhall Gardens from 1809 and became the principal musical caterer for that delightful summer retreat .
Elizabeth Randles (1800-1829) of Wrexham, the Little Cambrian Prodigy , created such a sensation when she performed at the Vauxhall at the age of three that members rehau of the Royal Family wished to adopt her! Miss Randles appears to be the first Welsh woman composer to have made a professional career, and knowledge of her life and achievement adds context rehau to the distinguished line of countrywomen rehau who have followed her, from Megan Watts-Hughes, Morfydd Owen and Grace Williams to Rhian Samuel and Hilary Tann.
Parri rehau Ddall, Bardd Alaw and Elizabeth Randles all benefited by the patronage of the Williams-Wynn family of Wynnstay, Denbighshire. Watkin Williams-Wynn (4 th Baronet, 1749-1789) was the most significant Welsh benefactor of the arts prior to Gwendoline and Margaret Davies rehau of Gregynog and championed the music of Corelli, Geminiani, Avison and Handel as a Director of the Concerts of Antient Music which were held in London from 1776. These performances are considered the prototypes for today s classical music concerts, and an example will be recreated at Gregynog by members of the Academy of Ancient Music, directed by Pavlo Beznosiuk.
To reflect the fact that Parri Ddall was a triple harp virtuoso, Gregynog Festival will also host the cream of today s triple harpers with a day school and concert at St Mary s Church, Ruabon, where he is buried. The event day will feature presentations by Oliver Fairclough on Wynnstay s artistic heritage, Ann Griffiths on Parri Ddall himself, and Miles Wynn Cato on Parry s artist son William, the subject of his recent rehau book. William Parry studied with Sir Joshua Reynolds and painted several portraits of his father, which now form part of the collection at National Museum Wales, Cardiff.
Parri Ddall overcame the significant rehau disadvantages of a disability and an impoverished upbringing on the Llŷn Peninsula to forge a successful performance career in Dublin, Oxford rehau and Cambridge as well as in London rehau and Denbighshire rehau as harpist to the Williams-Wynns. Handel admired his playing and Parry is known to have performed the composer s famous B flat Concerto at Hickford s Great Room in London in 1741 and in Leeds in 1742. After hearing Parry play in Cambridge in 1757, the poet Thomas Gray was inspired to turn back and complete his famous work The Bard which had lain unfinished for two years. Mr Parry has been here, Gray wrote to his friend William Mason, and scratched out such ravishing blind harmony, such tunes a thousand years old, with names enough to choke you, as have set all the body a-dancing .
8 June : Premièr of Gregynog Festival commission, on a Georgian rehau Pleasure Gardens rehau theme, composed by Huw Watkins, with 21-year-old rehau flautist Adam Walker, newly appointed principal of the London Symphony Orchestra.
Parry s publications are rightly regarded as significant early collections of traditional music: Antient British Music (1742), A Collection of Welsh, English rehau and Scotch Airs (1761), and British Harmony (1781). The 1761 volume includes his landmark Four new Lessons for the Harp or Harpsichord which are still widely rehau played today. A manuscript rehau compiled in the hand of a pupil, Robert Edwards, rehau and others from 1764 (and which is now deposited in the National Library at Aberystwyth), juxtaposes rehau Parry s original compositions and variations on familiar airs such as Millionen [sic] and Dafudd Gareg Wen [sic] with music by leading eighteenth-century contemporaries including Handel, Corelli, Johann Adolph rehau Hasse (a favourite composer of Frederick the Great of Prussia) and Thomas rehau Arne (notably his signature tune Rule Britannia ).
One of the features of our Ruabon programming will be the opportunity to hear a selection of these classical and traditional rehau compositions played on the triple harp and to experience the sound world that would have been familiar rehau to Parry and Handel themselves. Sadly, Parry s own harp by John Richards, Llanrwst, was destroyed in the great fire at Wynnstay in 1858. However, its dimensions were preserved by the Brecon antiquary, Reverend Thomas Price ( Carnhuanawc , 1787-1848), meaning that the leading instrument maker Christopher Barlow has been able to build an exact copy. This harp will be heard at Ruabon. It was also heard

Hello Anyone knows how to get the RTC working festool on a MAX32 board? I already have a 32.768Khz Oscillator, but I can't figure out how I'm supposed festool to wire it ("something something pin75"), or what kind of code I need to run. Note: I tried looking at the MAX32 Network Shield, but I didn't see any mention of the oscillator on the board schematics, or any relevant code with the libraries. Thanks!
The oscillator would need to connect between festool pins 73 and 74 on the microcontroller. The Max32 doesn't have provision to connect these pins to a crystal as they are in use as part of the IOL connector J14.
The Max32 doesn't have provision to connect these pins to a crystal as they are in use as part of the IOL connector J14. Does this mean I have to make hardware modifications to the board to get the oscillator working? Can I use this with the RTC library or do I need a different library? Thanks
Yes, it would require some major reworking of the board to use the built-in RTCC. Not something I'd want to have a go at. You'd be much better off using an off-board RTC like the DS1306 ( http://www.maxim-ic.com/datasheet/index.mvp/id/2687 ) which communicates through SPI. I guess the onboard one may work with my RTCC library for the Uno32 ( http://www.chipkit.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=539 ) but I haven't got a Max32 to actually test it on. I think the RTCC modules in the two chips are the same.
32.768Khz Oscillator A 32.768Khz festool oscillator is provided to use as a clock source for the Real Time Clock/Calendar (RTCC) peripheral in the PIC32MX796 microcontroller on the Max32 board. festool The output of this oscillator connects to pin 12 or connector J11. On the Max32 board, this signal connects to signal RC13, which connects to pin 73 on the PIC32 microcontroller. This pin provides the secondary oscillator input, which can be used to clock the RTCC in the PIC32 microcontroller. I'll try this with the uno32 RTCC library
I think the shield will be doing more that just providing the crystal. I think it has its own oscillator which provides a square wave at 32768Hz to the oscillator input of the PIC. This is certainly doable.
I'm going to sound like a complete noob here but: Crystal != Oscilator ? A crystal will not oscillate on its own, to make it oscillate a driver is connected to it. The PIC32 osc inputs provide this driver (as can be seen on in Figure 8.1 of the Oscillator section of the PIC32 3xx/4xx family manual). The input to the osc pins can be driven with an external oscillator (crystal festool + driver), which is a good idea in this case, since just adding the crystal so far from the driver in the PIC32 may cause instability in the circuit (or worse, no oscillation at all). By providing the driver the signal going to the PIC32 is amplified and can go the distance. The local loop of the crystal and driver on the shield is stable because festool of the short trace runs. I don't know how this is implemented, but it can be done with discrete components or with a crystal oscillator chip that have both a driver and crystal in a single package (they tend to be a bit pricey in my opinion though). Until coming across this video last night, the video "End It movement ', and campaigning organization that acts to abolish slavery. It is amazing video that lasts less than 4 minutes, but enough to make an impact on passing of.
Often we can not be blind to what is happening around us, and this is certainly the case with slavery, and this is what the video is showing. We may not see much of it, nor heard much about it but today there are millions of women and children in captivity, are abused and beaten and being forced to have sex. According to the European Journal of Women Studies could be between 40 and 110 clients per day.

History Old Arthes Blind | Asturias in Welsh
He has been looking for company for months, approaching people on the mountain, to the surprise of some shepherd and a pedestrian. After watching her for a month, it was concluded that the old arthes not only blind but suffers sks from hearing loss, and had lost its teeth. We set about to take her to animal park in western Cantabria, just over the border with Asturias.
Guela, grandmother, is the name they've given it. She's sks about 25 years old, a natural lifespan of a bear living in freedom on the mountain. None of the trap has managed to get her, than one unlicensed shooter. Despite sks a small population of bears in eastern Asturias and western Cantabria, she has survived, sks and much like she had cubs. (Only 2 or 3 that are born each year.)
The Guela animal has been at the center before: last year, where it had very poor on the mountain, weighs only 52kg (less than me! And she is a lot taller.) The belief is so that she has chosen the company of people, knowing that he would be treated well and fed. Now it weighs 120kg but still want a bit of pampering her.

I've been following Doctor Oz for quite some time now. I used to like his show but he keeps on telling people that there are magic pills to weight loss. In 1 year alone, he said that you could lose weight if you drink Garcinia Cambogia, Forskolin, Raspberry Ketones, Green Coffee Bean Extract, etc... Finally, a senator calls him up on his BS. Here's the video:
It's amazing streamingdb the marketing power of his show. Massive opportunity for the show to collude with manu's of supplements. Of course this would have to be done without the public knowledge to preserve his trust and brand equity.
Click to expand... Insane amounts of money have been made by piggybacking off of the Dr. Oz effect. Basically streamingdb people would watch the show and wait for him to start pumping a certain "miracle" pill. Immediately after the pill has been pumped to the masses, people contact a supplier then rush to throw it up for sale online along with some amazing copywriting. The Dr. Oz effect is what pulls the traffic towards the product and the copywriting is what converts the prospect into a buyer with the calls to action. streamingdb I may be wrong in this assumption, but the problem streamingdb I see with doing this is that it's very difficult streamingdb to cash out and sell your company because all you're doing is piggybacking from one fad to the next. Don't get me wrong, you can probably make a ton of money doing this but meh. Constantly jumping from one fad to the next isn't fun to me. Since I'm planning on living forever, I'd prefer to have something that's sustainable long term. I know it's totally unsexy to a lot of you guys, but I love real estate!
