Actually I wanted to make no diving safari. On a boat I usually get only one day of a cabin fever. screen Bad never be me, but in the afternoon I'm always glad when I can leave the diving boat again. Arriving screen in Khao Lak but I have to say that there are no day trips to Richelieu Rock. First I therefore opt for several day trips around Khao Lak. Almost back to my hotel but I realize how stupid it would be to be here and not have to drive to Richelieu Rock, still one of the best dive sites in the world and definitely Thailand. So I turn around and offer the very last minute 2 nights, 3 days and 10 dives on the Genesis, which stores the very next day. Regular cost the liveaboards in a single cabin at Sea Bees Diving 24,000 THB, about 535 euros. For 2 night, plenty of food, soft drinks and water and of course everything is actually one of the dives a good price even if it first sounds a lot. Performances begin on the first day so that I will be picked up from my hotel in Khao Lak and brought together with the colleagues from the port. After the boat briefing and after we had all imagined we cast off and make our way towards the Similan Islands, which lie about 100 km northwest of Phuket. On board there is only one non-German-speaking guest, the girlfriend of a divemaster. First, I do not know really how to find the. It is about unusual for me to move abroad between loud Germans. But we see ourselves in the course of the next three days good and the well-mixed group is pleasant. On the first day of diving three dives are on the program, we start at noon at Koh Bon. Here we encounter the beautiful manta rays again. As majestic as these animals pull through the water, it is really screen fascinating to watch them. Really great animals and I am very glad they so often encountered on this scuba diving vacation and to have come as close to them. In addition, we swim a few very large tuna on the way. Koh Bon is a beautiful dive site, also on the way back we will stop here for two dives and again, we encounter manta rays. Next stop is Koh Tachai and here I was once really overwhelmed. The flow here was so strong that I could hardly concentrate on something other than to swim against and not to consume all my air in 20 minutes. She then served only 35 minutes and I've found that I have quite a bit concern myself with currents under water and learn to find and implement truly enjoy a dive even under strong flow conditions. The third dive of the first day is a night dive. I'm not a big fan of night dives. I like to see what is happening around me, and not only in the light of my own flashlight. screen Also, at night I have a somewhat strange feeling. The feeling of even more upsetting. The animals in the circle of light my lamp act tense than when you watch them in daylight while living. The night dive in front of the Surin Islands is ok. We see great crayfish and lots of fish. But I will never book a night dive explicitly. Overnight pull our in the bay and we back ourselves in our little cabins. Morning by 5 clock starts our boat from here to Richelieu Rock. The Richelieu Rock is located about 200 km northwest of Phuket. Discovered by the Godfather of Diving Jacques-Yves Cousteau towers of rock at low tide only about 60 inches from the sea, is Thailand's northernmost dive site known for its purple coral growth. The rock is located far from other reefs, making it incredibly rich in fish. You do not even know where to look, is found in large schools of fish again and is constantly surrounded by sea creatures of all kinds The rock is covered beautiful and everything looks almost like in an aquarium. screen The fact that we were the first boat in place and the season is slowly coming to an end is not too much going on and especially the first dive in the morning at six-thirty is truly unique. And what can I say? I meet my fourth, fifth and sixth whale shark here. In a dive honor us two. I found the Richelieu Rock really r
